14.7.20: Message from Mrs Darlington

Morning Willow Class,

I can't believe we are now in our final few days of this school year! Although it has been a challenging few months for us all, I have thoroughly enjoyed setting the weekly French and Music challenges for you all. I have loved receiving the photos of all the work you have done and they have really helped me feel closer to you in this time apart.

Here are my final activities of the school year for you:

Music: Over the last few months, I have been chosing the music for you to listen to. This week, I would like you to choose your favourite piece of music or song. I have attached a 'My Favourite Music' sheet that you can complete too.

French: This week, I would like you to make your own French Dictionary (Attached) of all the words you know in French. These might be words you remember from our lessons in school, or words that you have learnt during lockdown. Try to list all the words you know first, then check your spelling. Adding a picture too would be lovely.

Remember to send this final set of photos to me at jdarlington@smallwood.cheshire.sch.uk.

I hope you all have a fantastic Summer Holiday and I look forward to seeing you all again in September as Year 1!

x Mrs D.

Dear Willow  13.7.20

Welcome to the last week! it has been a strange year but I am really proud of how far your children have come and how grown up they all are! I wish them good luck for next year as year ones! We will miss them!

I have put up this week's learning. We will be talking about growing up and changes in their lives. using a lovely book called Once there were Giants.

Please have a look at all the links - Annie wants to share, The Count, from Sesame street and I would like to share my great niece doing the reading during the Worship, she is in reception like you.

The children in Willow bubble with me will need to bring forest school clothes in on Wednesday, please.

There will be a picnic for the end of the year in each bubble on Wednesday afternoon.

Have a great week and a fantastic summer

Stay Safe

Mrs Watts xx

06.07.20 Storytime

This week I am sharing with you the story of Martin Luther King Jr.  I hope you enjoy it and I look forward to seeing some of the activities you complete this week.  You can find it here http://www.smallwood.cheshire.sch.uk/class/storytime

Please send any work or messages to me at smolyneux.smallwoodacademy@gmail.com.  Take care :)

Good morning!

The new storytime video is on the storytime page.  This week we are continuing the theme of The Trinity.  This is more of an explanation than a story, however next week the rainbow wooden people will be back with more story telling!  I invite you to think of another way to explain The Trinity.  Maybe you'd like to make your own video to explain your Trinity object to share with us all.  Please email any work to smolyneux.smallwoodacademy@gmail.com

Take care

Mrs Molyneux
