Year 4

This half term our topic is our local history study, The Staffordshire Hoard. I have got lots of exciting work planned. 

We will be learning about the Anglo-Saxon Hoard in Stafforshire - the largest ever found! 

We will be working on this through history, art and design. 

In  few weeks, will be visiting this amazing collection at the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery, in Stoke.   

Our book study is the twisted tale, 'The Lost Happy Endings' by Carol Ann Duffy.  

It is going to be a brilliant stimulus for our writing.   

We will also study some poems from 'The Lost Spells' by Robery Macfarlane and Jackie Morris.  

I think both of these texts are going to inspire us to write some fantastic poetry, twisted tales and persuasive letters of our own. 

Forest School is every other Monday starting on 16th January.  Please come in your forest school clothes.

Make sure you have waterproofs and wellies or walking boots.

This term, PE will be our swimming lessons every Monday.  Please make sure you have your PE kit in school as well because we like to get out for a class run when we can!
